We are learning to read with fluency and expression. Kakariki read "Cinderella Bigfoot" Our first story was "Movie Stars" which we recorded last week.
Do you think we have improved?
Are we achieving our learning intention?
We are Team 17, a Year 6 class at Bailey Road School in Mt Wellington, Auckland, New Zealand. Our teacher is Mr. Wood and we want to share our learning with our whānau (family) and other learners. We hope you will enjoy our blog and leave us comments.
Your fluency reading is fairly good but it sounds like reading. However you read a bit too fast and didn't use punctuation effectively. Your pronunciation was not clear which may be because of the speed of your reading.
ReplyDeleteYour expression needed work, I wasn't convinced of the characters.
A good effort but I feel you only gave an average effort.
Hi Kahurangi your readers theater looks awesome I like how you's read fluently with expression.
ReplyDeleteI think we did a good job, but I agree with Mr.Wood we did read fast.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a funny title. I think you guys did a good job.
ReplyDeleteI think i kinda didn't read fluently and we read to fast.
ReplyDeleteI think that your fluently was about 7 because you read fluently and in some of the stroy you sarted to read like a 7 year old kid. I think that your expression is about 8 because you had a lot of expression but I think that you need more.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Mr Wood because I wasn't able to see properly and the script was 10 pages long so I couldn't read it well. I think if we slow down we would get better.
ReplyDeleteYou read to fast for me to hear the story well but 10 pages long! That's a lot of pages to read.
ReplyDeleteI thought our group read fast and was a good try but needed more expression.
ReplyDeleteI think that some of you have to use more of your voice but cool story.
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring idea Mr. Wood and excellent performances Team 17! I am enjoying listening even though I am on summer holiday. I can't wait to share what you are doing with my new students come August.

I liked your story because you read it with expression and fluency but I still think you can improve on it.
