School Choir in Assembly

The choir sang for us during assembly. They are practicing new songs and this is one of the first times they have sung before such a big audience. Mr Wood thought they sounded awesome and many members of Team 17 are in the choir.

The choir came to view the video in Team 17's classroom. They used the viewing to help them improve their performance, as sometime when you see yourself do something on video, you can see things that you can improve on.

Buddy Reading

Every Friday Team 17 goes to the juniors Room 7 to do Buddy Reading. Both classes love sharing reading time and Team 17 are learning to use the reading strategies they have learnt to help their junior buddies improve their reading.

This Friday we also found out some of our buddies interests. This is so that we can write and create books especially for them. Team 17 will be learning about how books are written, illustrated and made, so that their books are interesting, but also help their buddies become better readers.

T-shirt design

This week for home work Team 17 had to design a long sleeve T-shirt or a short sleeve T-shirt. I had decided to make a long sleeve T-shirt out of a white long sleeve vest, and a old brown t-shirt and white laces. When it was done I brought it to school and my teacher (Mr.Wood) said it was fantastic.

Shweta C and PN created a graph using Chartle.com to show their measurements of the temperatures outside the classroom this week.

The lowest temperature was 14 degrees celsius and
The most popular temperature was 20 degrees celsius.
